Made from fruit harvested from the western part of Paso Robles, this outstanding Cabernet Franc-based bottling is built around a concentrated, leathery core that gives the wine a great structural spine. Not a bit green, which often happens with Cabernet Franc, and showing spicy notes of clove, dried black cherries, tar, and lots of gravely earth. This is brawny stuff with an Old World sensibility.
